Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength - A top note with a strong aroma. Petitgrain smells like orange blossoms, but less floral, more herbal and with a bitter undertone.
Information on harvesting / extraction - Petitgrain is distilled from the leaves and twigs. In Paraguay, the trees are usually grown in small plantations with trimmed rows to maximize leaf production and facilitate harvesting. This is done by hand with a machete and collected and loaded onto bullock-driven carts.
